Francesco Belcastro is a PhD candidate at the University of Saint Andrews. His work looks at Syria’s foreign policy and specifically at Damascus’ alliances, with particular interest in the application of Classical and Neoclassical realist theory to regional systems and powers. Francesco holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Bologna and an MA in Geopolitics, Territory and Security from King’s College London.
