Concerning Mr. Haithem al Maleh, 78 years old. Mr. al Maleh has been a lawyer since the TOR; 1950s and in 2001 established the Human Rights Association in Syria (HRAS). Mr. al Maleh was the subject of two urgent appeals by several special procedures on 21 October 2009 and 23 February 2004.
